Ages 3-4 | Phase 1

Building the foundations for reading through listening, identifying sounds and oral blending

What is Phase 1?

Before children begin learning to recognise written letters and the sounds they represent, they develop important listening and speaking skills. Phase 1 helps children tune into sounds, hear differences between them and begin putting spoken sounds together to make words.
